Dr. Apostolos Zdagkas

Former Project
Ultrafast optics and toroidal electrodynamics

Short CV
Apostolos obtained his 4-year Degree in Physics (with honours) with emphasis in Solid State Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece in 2013. In 2015, he received his master’s degree in Materials Physics, at the same Institution, where he performed theoretical and computational studies on the spontaneous Brillouin scattering by spherical particles. Apostolos joined the Optoelectronics Research Centre as a PhD candidate in January 2017 for the study and generation of ultrashort space-time coupled toroidal light pulses. In June 2020, he started working as a research fellow at the same institution in the topics of ultrafast optics and toroidal electrodynamics.
