Steffen obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg in 2021 and
a Master's degree in Physics from the same institution in 2024.
He joined the Nanophotonics and Metamaterials Group in the Optoelectronics research Centre at the University of Southampton in 2025.
